Migrant children without family accompaniment
Accompanying, protecting, and building a future together with unaccompanied migrant children on the island of Ibiza
At the Almaterra Foundation, we provide a stable therapeutic support resource for child protection services, educational centers, health services, and social entities, working in a coordinated and complementary manner to the demands that may be conveyed to us.
We work with a humanistic approach, from cultural sensitivity and focusing on the development of protection factors. We offer psychoeducation guidelines on stress and migratory grief, as well as support in building trusting relationships.
We integrate tools such as art therapy and symbolic play, adapted mindfulness, gentle body exercises, nature activities, and group spaces to reconfigure belonging.

For these minors, it is essential to offer a safe, comprehensive, and intercultural therapeutic framework that supports their well-being and integration process. The main objective of the program is to offer tools to reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem and social skills, promote educational continuity, and create a safe support network with reference adults to prevent the emergence of risk behaviors.
