Support Group for relatives of people with mental disorders
This group is aimed at family members and caregivers who are supporting a loved one with a mental disorder and who need a safe space to share questions, concerns, and experiences. Minors may participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult family member. The objective is to offer emotional support, guidance, and practical tools to cope with the support process.
Often, family members of people with mental disorders carry a heavy emotional and logistical burden and may feel overwhelmed or isolated. This group seeks to alleviate that burden through professional support and the strength of peer support. Listening to other people who are experiencing similar situations can be a valuable source of understanding and relief.
During the sessions, aspects such as communication within the family, crisis management, healthy boundaries, understanding the disorder, and the importance of self-care for caregivers will be addressed. All of this will be approached from a respectful, close, and tailored framework for each family’s reality.
It is an open space that does not require prior knowledge. Each participant may attend according to their availability, finding a place where they feel accompanied and understood. The group is intended as an opportunity to strengthen support networks, share strategies, and promote healthier coexistence for caregivers and their families.
We would like to thank Rotary E-Club Ibiza International for supporting the Almaterra iBIZA Foundation and for being our first sponsoring entity. Thanks to their support, we can ensure the therapeutic sessions for the first quarter of 2026.

Each session will explain how the group works, the objectives, the basic rules of coexistence and respect, and a space for voluntary participation will be offered, without forcing the processes and rhythms of each person or family. To sign up, you must reserve a place by filling out the registration form and making a minimum donation. While the minimum donation for the first session is €1, we appeal to each person to contribute a reasonable donation to the extent of their possibilities. In this way, if we are all responsible, we will facilitate that people without resources can come and that the foundation can sustain the activities and a flexible access system for all people.
The form is not published.
