Minors with protection measures
Protect, repair, and empower:
a therapeutic support program for minors with protection measures
This program is designed to support the essential daily work carried out by protection services with minors, acting as a preventive reinforcement against the emergence of risk behaviors derived from early attachment traumas and dysfunctional family contexts.
We work from the model of integrative trauma psychotherapy, respecting the rhythm and process of each person to make contact with their vulnerability, as a necessary starting point to integrate pain and generate new narratives of the present and the future. We work from creativity, empowerment, and support for decision-making: we co-design activities with minors so that they discover what helps them feel better, gain agency, and build protective habits in their daily lives.
Our program offers a Therapeutic Space:
Restorative
It helps to heal painful experiences, regain calm and confidence, and improve the relationship with oneself and with others.
Preventive
It offers tools to anticipate and manage difficult moments, detect signals in time, and reduce risk behaviors.
Empowering
It places minors as co-creators of activities, reinforcing the decision-making system towards the construction of protective habits for daily life.
In the intervention with minors with protection measures, we promote the incorporation of activities in natural environments -guided hiking, environmental education, animal-assisted therapy, and intergenerational therapy- as tools for regulation, strengthening the bond, and meaningful learning.
